In our vision, Open Innovation is essential for efficient and diverse innovation processes. We believe that working together is key for solving the greater problems whether in mobility or elsewhere. Through Crowd Challenges we enable innovators to further develop their ideas or effectively solve problems with the help of expert crowds. In 2021 we took the next step. BMW Crowd Innovation launched the Crowd Platform to let you participate in the ideation and problem-solving process. We are looking for participants with an innovative and customer focused mindset that want to demonstrate their skills and help the BMW Group with their knowledge. Success Stories.
Polycycle:
Polycycle is a prime example that shows, what innovative individuals can achieve. The team behind Polycycle had the vision to make BMW floor mats circular. With this vision in mind they entered the BMW Accelerator. During the 12-week program, they built a prototype, found suppliers and developed the product further. The project influenced the entire sustainability movement inside of BMW. After the successful implementation into the BMW cars, the team was invited to pitch their project at the young founders summit “One Young World”. Still, the team is striving to make BMW cars sustainable and has inspired people all around the world to be more environmentally conscious.
