The BMW Panoramic Vision Display is the heart of the new BMW iDrive. It projects driving information across the entire width of the windscreen for all to see. The most important driving information appears on the left, while the centre and right sections can be customised by the driver by moving content from the Central Display to the windscreen. Arrange up to six widgets like weather or compass however you like so that all the information you need is available at a glance.
Enter a destination via touch or with a voice command, and the 3D Head-Up Display will project your navigation guidance directly onto the road. Additional details about roads and junctions are shown on the BMW Panoramic Vision Display on the windscreen and Central Display.
The multifunction steering wheel is based on the Shy Tech concept. Illuminated buttons show available functions and disappear when they are not needed. The steering wheel buttons are laid out in a familiar way: driving assistance on the left and media controls on the right. Textured surfaces and haptic feedback make it easy for you to operate them without taking your eyes off the road.
